Keystone Furry Events Code of conduct
The purpose of this Non-Profit Code of Conduct is to establish clear and ethical guidelines that govern the behavior of all staff, volunteers, board members, and attendees associated with KFE. This document outlines the standards expected in all interactions within the organization and with external stakeholders to ensure a respectful, transparent, and mission-driven environment.
MISSION AND VALUES ALIGNMENT
All individuals affiliated with KFE are expected to uphold and promote the organization’s mission and values in every action they take. This includes making decisions that prioritize the organization’s purpose and the communities it serves.
ETHICAL BEHAVIOR AND INTEGRITY
We expect all staff, volunteers, and affiliates to maintain the highest level of ethical behavior and integrity. This includes honesty in all communications, transparency in decision-making, and accountability for their actions. Personal and organizational integrity are the foundations of trust.
RESPECT FOR ALL INDIVIDUALS
We are committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful environment. All individuals within the organization and in attendance are to be treated with respect, fairness, and dignity, regardless of their background, beliefs, or identity. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVACY
Confidentiality is crucial to maintaining the trust of those we serve. All members of KFE must safeguard sensitive information related to our clients, donors, partners, and the organization. This information should only be used for legitimate, authorized purposes.
COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS AND REGULATIONS
We are committed to full compliance with all applicable local, state/provincial, and federal laws, as well as any industry-specific regulations that affect our work. This includes laws related to profit governance, financial reporting, labor standards, and data protection.
PROFESSIONALISM AND ACCOUNTABILITY
All interactions, whether internal or external, should reflect professionalism and commitment to our mission. We expect staff, volunteers, and affiliates to be courteous, respectful, and responsible in their dealings with colleagues, clients, donors, and partners. RESPONSIBLE USE OF ORGANIZATION RESOURCES
All resources provided by KFE, including finances, technology, and facilities, must be used efficiently and for the intended purposes. Misuse or misappropriation of resources is not acceptable, and all assets should be safeguarded against loss, theft, or damage.
CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
All individuals involved with KFE must avoid situations where personal interests could conflict with the organization’s interests. Any potential conflicts should be disclosed to the appropriate supervisor or board member, and steps should be taken to manage or avoid such conflicts.
REPORTING MISCONDUCT
All individuals are encouraged to report any misconduct, unethical behavior, or violations of this Code of Conduct. Reports may be made confidentially and anonymously if needed. KFE is committed to thoroughly investigating all reports and taking appropriate action.
ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
KFE is committed to environmental sustainability and reducing our ecological impact. We encourage all staff, volunteers, and affiliates to participate in and support initiatives that contribute to protecting the environment.

We are dedicated to continual improvement in our policies, programs, and practices. Feedback from staff, volunteers, and attendees is welcomed and valued. Transparency is a core value, and we strive to maintain open communication within the organization and with the public.
CONSEQUENCES FOR VIOLATIONS
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or volunteer services. The level of discipline will depend on the severity of the violation and the circumstances involved.

At KFE, we are committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in everything we do. Upholding this Code of Conduct is essential to our success and to the trust placed in us by our attendees and partners.
ATTENDEE CODE OF CONDUCT
Attendees are expected to be respectful of venues and staff at all times and report anything they feel goes against our policies and individual event rules.
Furthermore attendees are expected to adhere to the same respect for all individuals code as staff.
Shirts, pants/shorts, and footwear must be worn when in public areas of the venue, such as lobbies, event space, outdoor space, and hallways.
All venue spaces are rated PG at all times.
Weapons of any kind are not allowed in event space with exception of paid security when needed or required by law or venue.
Attendance by minor is allowed so long as anyone minor under the age of 18 must be accompanied at all times by an adult over the age of 21 with valid ID. anyone found without their guardian or lying about their age will be asked to leave.
Keystone Furry Events reserves the rights to amend and expand these codes at anytime as the need arises.
